Setting the DATE in FlightDEK 180

Guys, my RV-9A has been up for about 100 Hobbs hours now, and the FlightDEK 180 is awesome. I have just now begun downloading the flight data which of course saves to an excel spreadsheet--which is not the easiest format to view.

I uploaded the data to www.savvyanalyst.com (great site!) and found that while my local and UTC time looked OK, the dates all defaulted to 1-1-2000. I believe the 180 gets the time from my Garmin 430W. I checked the Garmin and its date/time is correct. I cannot figure out how to set a "date" in the 180--which is otherwise unimportant except for this flight data logging thing which I have begun studying.

Any help?

How are you connected to the 430W? If via serial only, you definitely won't get the date because the Aviation format have time/date at all. If you're connected over ARINC via the HS34, we think (based on a quick look at the code) that date should make it into the datalog, but there could be a small there. Can you post your CSV data?

Dynon Support,

Thanks for your reply. I have attached a CSV data file per your request.

You don't have anything mis-programmed. Just looking for system configuration to inform our technical gurus. Sorry for the delay in response - a bunch of us have been at Sun n Fun the last week. Looking into an answer to this.

Unfortunately, it looks like date information isn't carried over an ARINC connection, so, that field will be blank as you're seeing.
