Here' a method using a fusion of some borrowed ideas and the capabilities of SV. It provides immediate results without crunching a lot of data:

1) Pick an altitude and heading, stabilize speed and engage the TRK+ALT on the autopilot.
2) Note the heading of the calculated winds and turn to that heading using the TRK bug.
3) Let things stabilize and make fine adjustments to the TRK to put the wind directly on the nose.
4) Note the ground speed (GS-1) and computed TAS.
5) Push the 180 button, let the aircraft finish the turn and stabilize with the same TAS as (4).
6) Note the ground speed (GS-2).
7) Your Calibrated TAS is 1/2(GS-1 + GS-2)
8) Repeat at different airspeeds as required.
