I was excited about the six pack PFD option when it came out. I tried it out for a while, but decided I didn't like and switched back.

The problem is the numbers. I found myself ignoring the analog gauge info and just looking at the numbers. That's not too much different from just looking at the digital PFD screen which was designed to present numbers. I guess it might help people transitioning, but didn't do what I wanted it to, which was keep me in practice on steam gauges.

So here's yet another feature request: an option to turn off the unnatural numbers on the six pack. You can keep the OAT and the Kollsman window, and of course the top bar if the PFD is 100%, but the rest of the immediate value numbers are defeating the purpose - if you're trying to use it for steam gauge currency.

Did a search and couldn't find any other requests for this,
I'm a bit surprised.

Indeed, we did intend this feature to be an "in the middle" of "actual" analog instruments and the PFD tapes as a bit of a training aid.

Could you add the "thousands" indicator to the altimeter?
(and I agree that the numbers get in the way of the analogue instrument display)

For aerobatics this makes for a quicker glance inside the cockpit.

Another request would be to make it possible when using 2 displays to have only one display showing the six pack. Then it's easier to train students on both types of indicators.

The altimeter in the "six pack" presentation was a design decision; we didn't include the 1K hand because it was too short to be seen with the digital number in the middle and the "six pack" presentation is intended to be a transition tool, not a training tool.

The request for one SkyView display in PFD mode displaying EFIS presentation, and another SkyView display in PFD mode displaying 6-pack presentation is one we've received previously, for the same reason as you state, and that request is in the queue to be considered and possibly implemented in a future version of SkyView firmware.
