Our development team has made liars out of us marketeers. We claimed June, but it's still May, and SkyView 6.0 is available NOW at http://downloads.dynonavionics.com.

All documentation for the update, as well as for the COM and Intercom is available at http://docs.dynonavionics.com.

Note that the Intercom and Radio don't go on sale until Monday, June 3. If you're signed up for the customer newsletter, you'll be getting some additional details shortly.

ya whats up with that? Looks like a great update for everyone who isn't on hold for a EMS VP-200 patch, which I am!!

while I wait, questions:
I see improvement: Update to map airspace colors now built into software update and no longer requires separate .dfg file load.

I spent time making my own colors and the way the airspace looks to be more like a sectional in my complex airspace of SoCal (aka no yellow and orange airspace). I would like to keep my colors from the .dfg, am I to understand that I will no longer be able to do so with 6.0? If no, is there a way to import the .dfg?
Thx!

I believe Marc at Vertical Power announced that he's got a patch forthe VP-200 scheduled now. Not sure when it hits, though.

VP-200 Patch is planned for early July.

concerning the .dfg question, I know there is a section in the manual but believe the .dfg is for the engine info and not airspace, hence my question if there will be a way to update airspace colors/look as we were able to do in the past and if not a way to do it.
thank you for the response

The RS-232 interface between Skyview and the GTR225 worked and looks GREAT!!! with Firmware 6.0. Thanks Dynon!!
No issues at all... Once I set it up in Skyview / GTR225 data started flowing... Map to Tune function worked great...

No, they don't talk serially in the same way that the SL30/40/GTR 225 does. They do send data over ARINC-429, and that lets us display HSI information. But it can receive frequencies in the same way that the other serially-connected Garmin radios can.

I'm glad to find someone who has successfully connected the Skyview to the GTR 225.  Can you please tell me which Skyview pin(s) go to which GTR pin(s).  Is it just one wire from any available serial TX pin on the Skyview, to pin 16 for "RS-232 In 1" on the GTR?  Or does the other wire need to be connected as well (RX to "RS-232 Out 1")?
