Just loaded 7.0 onto both SkyView displays. All seems well other than manifold pressure now indicates 47.8" with the engine off.
This is a stock Lycoming IO-540. I did use the "easy install" so I'm wondering if the manifold pressure sender setting changed.

It shouldn't have (the update doesn't reset it). Did you have any custom manifold pressure sensor defined via the sensor file definiations? If you don't have any idea what I'm on about, the answer is NO. The "easy update" does include our stock engine sensor definitions, so if you had a custom sensor file, it would undo those customizations. I don't think that's what you're seeing though. That number sounds like the sensor is pegged, though. Does it respond at all to changes in manifold pressure?

No custom manifold pressure sensor defined.
I just ran the engine. MP varied between 32" at low idle and 34" at fast idle. MP pegged high (47+")before engine start and after engine shutdown. Atmospheric pressure was 30.3".
Shall I assume I just have a bad MP sender? Are these indications consistent with a MP sensor going bad.
One side note - the day before I loaded 7.0 I brought the plane home early as IAS was lower than I expected for the MP/RPM setting. I found no cause for "engine not making power as expected". If the sender gradually went bad and indicated MP was higher than actual that would explain what I saw.
140 total hours on the plane if that makes any difference.

I sent the sensor pin resistance measurements in to tech support. They were about what they read but there is no other path forward other than replacing the sensor. I ordered one today.

Just to close the loop, the problem was the manifold sensor decided to go bad right when I loaded 7.0. New sensor installed and all is well.
For the record, 140 hours, 2 EGT probe and 1 Manifold Pressure sensor failures.
