I am interested installing either the Skyview or one of the EFIS products into my RV-9A. Due to the rear and seat baggage panels being already riveted in place, I have no way to run additional wires or cables to the rear of the fuselage. All components must be installed behind the panel.

This being said, what am I limited to as far as selecting either the Skyview or EFIS products. Which product is best for my predicament?

Thanks!

The issue with devices behind the panel is always about bad magnetic performance. So if you put the magnetometer for the D100 or the ADAHRS for the SkyView behind the panel, you'll get fine attitude, altitude, and airspeed performance, but your compass will likely not be very accurate. The two systems will not have any real advantage over one another.

The D100 might work a bit better if you can put the compass in the wingtip (assuming you don't have landing lights out there).
