The Rotax has only 2 wires going to the ems module for RPM display on my 10" Skyview display. But, I also have a UMA tach for Rotax that I'd like to operate as well. Wiring???? Is it possible to wire both in, say, parallel? The UMA has 4 wires (Red, black, white and yellow).

912ULS. As much as I would've liked the FI of the newer engine..... Nope, just the older 100HP.

Sorry, misunderstood your question there. I thought you were asking whether or not you could bring in a second RPM sensor for redundancy (you can, just like how you'd wire mags to our system). But you're asking whether or not another gauge can be wired in parallel. Looking into this...

So, it's hard to say without knowing the guts of the gauge, but, they are suggesting a 680 ohm or smaller resistor can be used to knocking down the voltage if needed. That suggests that the UMA gauge has high enough impedance to not squish the signal so much that SkyView can't read it. So that's a tentative "yes, it may work".
