Skyview as primary with D6 or D10 as backup

As my Zodiac nears completion I am really wanting the Skyview as primary instrument.  However, while I want some backup, I really don't think another Skyview is the right answer for me due to funds.  Has anyone used either a D6 or D10 for backup?  Can it interface with any Skyview components or would it have to be completely standalone?  I will have the two axis autopilot.  Thanks for any help provided.

It would be completely standalone, but we definitely have customers that do this for budgetary or panel space considerations.
