I am soon shipping a new S-LSA aircraft which is to be used at a flying school.

The CFI of the school has asked me if it was possible for skyview to show the traditional 6 pack page for pre solo training ... he understands that the rest of the package is the most beautiful glass package he has ever seen.... ! very good for pilot transition to airlines ... yet not so good with complex info for a presolo ...

Faisal:

Unfortunately, emulating a steam gauge six-pack is not a feature currently in SkyView, nor is it planned that we'll do so.

While we understand the attraction of what you're asking from a "legacy training" perspective, Dynon's perspective is that glass cockpit displays such as SkyView aren't just the wave of the future, they're the wave of the present. Glass cockpits overall are less expensive, lighter, more compact, provide more information to the pilot, and are more reliable than steam gauges. Glass cockpits are becoming very common in private aircraft, especially in Experimental and Light Sport aircraft.

We're glad to see the positive response to this feature! While we want to keep improving the state of the art in EFIS/Map/EMS displays, it was clear that there was a need for this transition tool. Thanks to everyone for letting us know how we can improve.
