Hi All,

I'm having autopilot issues with my RV7, worked great when fist installed but after an ADAHRS replacement and software updates altitude won't hold or respond to the Alt bug. I thought I'd start from scratch and recalibrate the servos, I went through the Calibration process completing the Roll and Pitch, but now the software us asking to calibrate the Yaw servo which is strange because I don't have one. Then the calibration fails.

I'm assuming there is a bug in the latest software.

Is there a fix or work around? I have no autopilot at all now as its asking for calibration.

Any ideas? ( other than installing a Yaw servo )

Cheers,

Dave

David,
This sounds like your pitch shear screw is broken. The servo is no longer connected to the controls. Because of this, when you do a calibration, we only see one servo move, which causes the software to assume the servo that didn't move must be a yaw damper servo. Of course, this is also why the AP flies the plane poorly.

Give us a call so we can send you a new shear screw and instructions on replacement.
