Hello all,
I have 2 SkyView touch that are working in concert with a GTN 650. I understand that to be legal when flying IFR you need to have your flightplan on the GTN and fly it. Programming the GTN is very painful for me.
I was wondering if there would be a chance to integrate a transfer of flightplan from the SkyView to the GTN. Garmin does it in their G3X touch integration where one have to select where the flightplan is to be transferred to from there app. Either G3X or GTN. Anyway the GTN accepts input. We are talking about data transfer from an uncertified to a certified device. Maybe it can be done by either virtually typing in the waypoints (the software adresses the correct area on the GTN touchscreen) or by transferring the correct waypoint names which then are recognized by the GTN 650 and the flightplan is then built from that. Anyway it seems to be important not to mess with the certified database and send coordinates or such.
Please let me know what you think.
