When I set up the EMS with my HDX , I followed the alarm settings to monitor the Earthx 680 wellbeing. I notice now in the latest install manual the recommendations have changed. See below . The first recommendation was to set the fault setting at 0-1 volt , but the latest manual setting is to set the fault level at 0-2.5 V. So far , I have left my original set up , but I think I will try the new manual instructions.

Wonder if any one else has noticed this , as my Dynon warning for my Earthx 680 has been alarming red 5 secs on 5 secs off, even though my B and C L40 Alternator was providing 14.2 V to my bus and battery and supplying my usual 7 Amps to my VFR bus at cruise.

I have liaised with Dynon, Earthx and B and C support . Dynon have suggested that the original setting may be oversensitive in diagnosing a problem. B and C initially postulated that the L 40 could be outputting some AC voltage , but monitoring for this in flight , excluded that . As an aside, my Monkworkz standby generator when used alone , can also cause the Dynon Earthx battery warning light to cycle red every 5 seconds.

I would be interested to hear input from anyone with ideas or information on this matter. Jeff R

The Dynon manual has said that for contact mapping for quite some time now, as far back as at least 2022, maybe even further. I don't have an old EarthX manual to compare. It's page 7-100 in the current Dynon manual. 1 volt would seem to be cutting it a bit close, but maybe the BMS in the older EarthX batteries needed that setting.
