Skyview interface with Garmin GTX-330 Transponder

With the skyview interface with the 330 via RS232 or 429?

I am looking through the 330 setup documents and it only has serial inputs for a few other vendors. Does the skyview use the same protocol as one of these for the RS232 connection?

For ADS-B receivers I would hope they choose 429, simply because it seems that Garmin does not tend to "package" the whole data set in serial connections.

Once ADS-B gets up and running they should be able to present traffic, TFRs, and Weather on the EFIS from the ADS-B receiver. That should make XM Weather subscriptions that self-disable at inconvenient times a thing of the past.

For altitude, it will use serial, like it does today.

For traffic, I can't say we know yet. I'd hope to support both, but we haven't done any work on this area yet.
