SkyView network redundancy

I am planning a 2 screen SkyView for my airplane, which I will fly IFR. There will be 2 screens, two hubs (under panel and in tail) and the usual modules.

Is there a rationale for using redundant pathways for the skyview network? Or downsides to it?

By way of example, should each skyview screen have a connection to the front hub, or just one to the hub and a network cable between the displays.

The skyview network already has two data paths within each individual cable for redundancy, that covers you for a break in a wire or pin that takes out one data path (2 wires each in the 9-wire bundle), leaving the other data path valid and generating an error message on the Skyview telling you about it. What you are discussing is redundant paths for the entire cable, which is (in my opinion) not needed. The only failure scenario this helps resolve would involve severing the entire cable, in which case you probably have bigger problems to worry about at that time.
