I am experiencing a bizarre problem. Usually following start-up, when I press on the “map” key, then the “direct” button, the screen shows the last dozen or so destinations that I previously went “direct” to.
But that does not happen anymore. Instead the screen shows only two destinations—one labeled “AA” and another for “RHI”. It’s the same two destinations no matter how many destinations I visited/entered in my prior flight. Stated differently, upon shut down, the computer does not seem to retain the most recent destinations, as it is designed to do (and used to do), but instead reverts to “AA” and “RHI”. Oddly, the computer does retain destinations during the existing flight. But upon shut down, any destinations entered during the flight are lost.
It almost seems like the hardware that is supposed to write and retain the information before shutdown is corrupted.
Any insight on how to address would be appreciated.
I am attaching an image of the screen I see.
