Hi Dynon,
I’m working on a RV 7-A and would like to ask a couple of questions about the Skyview.
Can you turn the SV on or off. I think that you can display only the PFD or EMS or Map or any combination of them. If I cut my panel for 2 10” displays but can only afford 1 to start with can I add the second display later by only plugging a harness into the back of both of them? If so will they display different info with out adding a new ADHARS or engine module? Can I program the 2 displays so that one will start up with the PFD and the other start up with the EMS without having to toggle between the screens? Will it talk to a Bendix-King KMD 150? I’m getting ready to mount a shelf in the back to mount the ADHARS. The panel has a 8 degree tilt, do I mount the ADHARS at 8 degrees also?
Thanks a lot,
Larry

Right now there isn't a button to turn SV off, but we plan on one. You can always not feed it GPS, which does turn off SV.

You can display PFD, MAP, EMS, or any combination. You can have 3 up at once if you want.

All you need to add another screen is to plug it in. You can then configure them differently if you like. You can program the boot screen of each display as you want as well.

We're not super familiar with the KMD-150. If it has a serial output, we can probably use it for position, but it's unlikely we will be able to do other things with it.

The ADAHRS needs to be level with the plane, not the panel for SkyView.

Larry,

The answer above, when they say "SV" they are referring to Synthetic Vision, not SkyView in general.

You can turn SkyView off by pushing and holding the left button and it will turn off.

Thanks a lot for the answers. I cna't wait to get started on the panel. I'm going to mount the ADHARS and the wires, then cut the panel for two 10" displays, but not buy the screens untill right before first flight.
