Skyview screen do not come on

Two SV10's in and RV10. The owner has complained to me about both and sometimes one screen does not come on, at Power Up.

Today it happened in my presence. We switched the Master as well as the separate EFIS Power switch ON and OFF about 20 times. Both screens stayed dead. We did wait for about 20 seconds each time.

So we left the switches on. Got a multi meter out and started measuring. I could read the supply of about 12.1V right down to the black and red wires just before they go into the connector back shell. Both of them.

Then I switched OFF everything, ON again and suddenly the screens cam alive.

For what is is worth, did you try the reboot by pressing buttons 1,2 & 5. My screens sometimes will not come on when I turn them on. Both are powered via seperate on off switch breakers. they always come on after the 1,2,&5 button reset. I suspect it might have something to do with the battery backups but not sure. Dynon will be able to assist. I have this issue every now and then but have not had any problem with the reboot.

Does the display that doesn't come up have a backup battery?

Both have backup batteries. In the mean time Mike from Dynon has been in contact and pointed me to SB030413. So we will test to see if the units have to go back. Hope not!

I did not know about the reboot with 1,2,5. Will surely try that as well.

OK - Wehave upgraded to6.2 this morning and so far it is looking much better. Did about 10 cycles switching on and both came on every time.
