Hi All

I have a Skyview 1000 installed in my Vans RV12. Since Building the a/c I have been really impressed with the Windspeed/Wind Direction indicator. However, in the past few weeks, it has thrown a shoe.

I flew on Sunday and for the first 45mins or so, all seemed well ie moderate winds as were the local conditions. About 45 mins into the flight I started getting windspeeds of 37/40 Knts etc even at low level which was impossible (Local speeds were 10knts.)

My ASI and GPS seem to be working fine so the ADAHRS seems to be getting the right inputs.

Any ideas?

Make sure you have the latest software if you are using the SV-GPS 250. This software fixes a GPS bug that appeared in April. This GPS issue caused a GPS course error that translated to winds aloft being way off. I also experienced this and some auto pilot tracking errors.
