Skyview to Master SW or Avionics Master

I am planning my electrical system now. Since I would like to see my engine instruments during startup, do you recommend wiring the Skyview so that it powers on with the master switch?

I don't want to put it on the Avionics Master since it has Engine Inst and PFD.

Will power surges during start affect Skyview?

It is designed to be on during engine crank. Hook it to the master switch and it should work great for you.

Out of curiosity, can the SkyView be turned on by pressing button 1 when main power is off but a backup battery is installed? Will all of the engine monitoring functions still work in this configuration?
