Hello Dynon!
I am planning to get an LSA-class autogyro somewhen within the next 12 months. The manufacturer ships those with an MGL EFIS.
I'm really not a fan of MGL, mainly because of the foil buttons, but they have 4 video inputs and 1 VGA output in the gen. 2 EFIS.
The thing is, panel space in an inline cockpit autogyro is not really extensive - extra screens are hard to fit in and I am planning to have a FLIR cam installed. In Finland, VFR is legal even at night if not "real night" and I am a rescue volunteer and we often search for missing people in the lakes and woods.
So, having at least ONE video input on which the PFD data is overlayed, would be quite a nice thing! I want to order my gyro with Dynon EFIS!
About the video/VGA out...
High quality head/helmet mounted displays became quite cheap lately. A video/VGA out on an EFIS would be a nifty thing.
Together with a FLIR and a digital video recorder, a video out would also be a nice way to document a SAR flight.
Or - as a new product - a "black box" which contains a full Skyview system and the buttons but no display, with a video/VGA out to use with an HMD.
Just a few ideas...
