Skyview w/Garmin 430W annunciation

Will my skyview show the annunciation from my GNS 430W? I have a 10" and 7" skyview side by side on the left side of the panel and the 430 is not directly in view. I'm looking for GPS / VLOC, TERM, APR, MSG, and WPT. If it does how is this accomplished? Is it through the ARINC 429 or serial interface or does it require individual inputs from the 430. If it does not then I guess I'll have to fabricate a little annunciation panel. I'm getting ready to hook all this stuff up and just need clarification. Thanks

You only need an annuciator if the left edge of the 430W is more than 11.8" from the centerline of the pilot's scan. If it's within that, everything you need is on the 430W's screen.

SkyView shows most, but not all of the annunciations required, so if you fabricate your own you don't need to do all of them.

Yes my 430 is more than 12" and is beyond the limits of field of view, that is why I need the annunciation to be in compliance. Please review the list of annunciation I provided in my post and tell me which of those items will be displayed in skyview and if I need additional connections from the 430 other than the ARINC and Serial provided with your ARINC 429 interface module.

If you're showing the 430W's flight plan on SkyView's map (this is a new feature), SkyView will generate its own approaching waypoint annunciations based on the 430W's waypoints. This may not identically concur with the WPT annunciation on the 430W, but it's providing essentially the same information.

You don't really need a separate VLOC/GPS with an electronic HSI, as it's always apparent from the HSI info area whether you're looking at the NAV radio (VLOC) or GPS side of the 430 (or SkyView's flight plan, if you're using that). With an older mechanical HSI you can't tell what it's displaying without an indicator. You can control which side of the 430W you're looking at on SkyView from either SkyView or the 430W directly, depending on how you have the AUTO SWITCH option configured. See the SV-ARINC-429 Installation and Configuration section of our installation guide for more details on this.

We don't show TERM/APPR scaling directly, but we do show the numerical CDI range when in those modes. That's not exactly what you're after, so you might want to have an external annunciation in this case. We'll look into improving the annunciation here (no promises).

SkyView doens't show the MSG annunciation from the 430 currently.

All that said, instead of actually building your own annunciators, you can use extra EMS general purposes set up as contact inputs and turn them into annunciations on your EMS page.
