Sl-40 to Skyview

I hope I don't get eaten alive for this but I have looked and have not found. Is there any reason to hook up the RS232 connections on my SL-40 to the skyview? Will it take freq or other info from the radio now or later? Thanks, Craig

I was told later it will take frequencies from the SkyView. I have mine hooked up to a Garmin GPS instead, as it transfers frequencies currently.

I'd connect the serial anyway - it's just 2 wires & you have many serial input ports.
