Hi All
I am in the process of wiring the EFIS and EMS. I have D100 and D120 and will be connecting them to a Garmin 496 and SL30. I have the standard wiring harness for both. I have had the Avionics wiring harness made for me to connect this all together and interface to a Navaid Auto pilot.
I will wire the 496 to the EMS - No issue
I will wire the DSAB with no Null Modem cable with FW 4.0 - No issue
I will wire 496 and SL30 (+ & -) to the Auto pilot - No issue
Now my question.
I intend to wire the SL30 the EFIS using a DB9 connector and EFIS serial connector and will disconnect it when doing software updates(as recommended in another post)
The Question is, are the cables required to the SL30. It is implied there is only one signal cable (like the GPS0 but cant find a reference for this in the SL30 manual. It’s made a bit harder due the Avionics stack wiring harness being made for me.
Thanks in advance
