I flew in my friends Supercub 180 yesterday. With tandem seating I could not see either display in front. Would it be possible to feed an output to show the information from the front displays so that the back seat pilot has all the info visible. You would not need to have anything else but a small flat screen slaving the up-front info. Possible?? Any suggestions?? Is the output compatible to a small screen??

Regards

Del, our only output is digital data, so the screen needs to have a processor in it that knows how to read our data and re-create the displays. As of today, we don't have this product, and we don't know of anyone else that makes one either. As we've mentioned in other threads, one of the issues is that this display would probably still cost about what an EMS-D10 does- $1700-ish.

We do publish our data format, so if someone wants to make a display they could.

If you're ok powering the screen with a laptop system, then buy a car-dvd player screen (about $200 odd) then write some opengl software to display what the front efis displays. The laptop can sit in the baggage area and the screen can be mounted to the instrument panel... Cheap, easy, effective. Also will run on 12V :)
