Hello

After doing my flight test, there is a difference 8 KT between D100 EFIS and GPS without wind. Can we calibrate the speed on the D100 EFIS?

thank you Eric

Are you comparing IAS or TAS to your GPS GS with no wind (which is next to impossible by the way)?

If you are not using TAS to compare, they will likely never match.

There is an option to calibrate the Dynon's zero point on IAS but that is all. If you have an error beyond that most likely the error is in your pitot/static system and that is what you need to fix...

Speed is IAS on the D100. I have two indicator for the IAS and both give the same speed. They are on the same line and the difference of 8 KT over GPS is too big for my taste. Do you have an idea to solve my problem.

thank you, Eric

GPS GS with no wind should equal True Air Speed not Indicated Air Speed.

IAS and TAS normally do not match and can be very different depending on temperature, pressure and indicated altitudes...

If you are expecting your IAS reading on the Dynon to always match your GPS GS, it won't happen very much if ever.....
