sporatic remote compass not found message

the software versions match, cable connections are correct, could this message be caused by poor position orientation between the EDC and EFIS?

Nope, couldn't be caused by orientation.

How often is the signal dropout?

Also, what are the particular firmware versions on both the EFIS and EDC?

I have version 1.06 software, signal drops out usually w/i 2-4 sec. Last weekend I double checked the connections on both ends of the cable and all wires appeared to be in correct position and in good condition.
Don't know what to try next.

1.06 isn't the latest version of any of our products' firmware.

I suspect that the EDC firmware is not matched to the EFIS. In this case, you simply need to update your firmware with the EDC attached to get everything working again.

Got the new firmware/software upgrade loaded this weekend. Problem fixed.
