I'm installing the EFIS using the Steinair harness & connecting to a parallel port transponder (Garmin 320) thru the Dynon converter. Questions:

1. What is the Dynon Smart Databus & where do the wires to it (blue-green-black) go, if anywhere?
2. The harness also has a 6" black/white wire labeled ground for shielded braid. Does something need to be attached here?
3. Am I correct in connecting the two serial port wires to the red & black wire pair on the encoder converter?
thanks.

1) The Dynon Smart Avionics Bus (DSAB) is going to be used in the future to communicate between different Dynon products, such as the EMS and EFIS screen swapping. It is not used today and isn't used unless you have multiple Dynon products.

2) You do not need to hook up the black / white wire.

3) Yes, the Blue/White wire on the harness connects to the Red wire on the transponder converter. Make sure you are using the red wire that comes out of the side of the converter that only has two wires.
