To Dynon,

I know you are planning to display traffic some where in the future.
What about displaying lightning strike information from a stormscope like L-3 wx-500 similiar to what the Garmin 430 and 530 does?

Are there ANY plans to do this?

Thanks in advance,
Rudi

A feature like that is far enough out that we can't tell you if we are going to do it our not. Plans, priorities, and markets change, and making promises or even guesses doesn't serve us or our customers well.

Technically, SkyView is capable of doing this if we write the software. If customer demand is high enough for a feature, then we will clearly consider it. I can say that given what we are planning to work on, and what we believe the market wants, a feature like this would be at least 2 years away. Unless of course, everything changes ;)

Basically, if this is a requirement for you and you wouldn't consider SkyView without it being on the roadmap, then you shouldn't consider SkyView.

Thanks,

No it is not a deal breaker for my, but it would be really nice to see it on a big screen Skyview instead of a tiny 430 or slightly large 530 screen which is going into the panel in anycase.

If you could open up to third party developers, ala iPhone, google, etc. apps, can you say "revolution?" iPhone would be another fancy cellphone without those 3rd party developers.

in honor of Martin Luther King Jr, i have a dream where hardware can live up to its full potential with the volunteer help of third party developers, i have a dream... :)
