Quick question.  Is it /will it be possible to use an SV-COM as a stand-alone transceiver? I would like to have a second com radio without too much panel re-work.  It, along with the Dynon intercom would shoehorn in nicely.
Thanks in advance for your response(s)

The SV-COM requires SkyView for the initial configuration, so you cannot use it stand-alone. Additionally, the really neat features such as the quick access to TWR or GND all use a database that is in SkyView.

I too am interested in the com as a stand alone to go along with my D100. I understand that some skyview features would not be available, but it seems that some simple (in my uninformed opinion) software changes would make it usable. You still have supporters of Dynon products who are not skyview system owners who think the size and price of the radio, along with the quality they expect from Dynon make the com desirable without the database features. Any chance you might revise it to suit? I think you might be missing out on a lot of sales, including those who have yet to purchase Dynon systems but would like the radio!
