If you have a classic SV system and when in turbulence, accidently move the joystick when you wanted to just turn the knob then this modification may help you.
I took some 3/16 inch Yoga mat foam and made some bushings to make it a little harder to move the joystick functions. I used a 1/2 inch copper tube and sharpened it to punch out 1/2inch diameter circles of the yoga mat material. Then used a leather punch to make a 1/16" hole in the center. Then just pull off the SV display knob and insert yoga bushing over the shaft, replace the knob. Makes the joystick a little stiffer to move laterally or up/down. Mouse pad material may work just as well.
