When the SV-GPS-2020 becomes available, will I be able to connect it directly to a Trig TT31 / Garmin 330ES or King KT74 transponder and therefore be 2020 ADS-B OUT compliant?

Right now, it will not work on the Trig/King transponders. The data output is a bit non-standard because we wanted the GPS to also be a great GPS for SkyView as a whole, not just ADS-B compliance. We are working with other vendors to see if they can add support for our data format, but there are also some challenges due to the baud rates we use.

Since the SV-GPS-2020 does not use Garmin's proprietary and unpublished ADS-B+ data format it is unlikely to ever work with their products. That's up to Garmin though.

I've got a note into Trig on this exact subject and wanted to hear back from them before asking Dynon about actually using your GPS in other (certified) applications. Among my concerns in addition to the non-standard data are-

Air/ground determination in the absence of the Skyview system. Will it be necessary to use a pressure switch ala the Peregrin STC.

Pilot indication of acceptable system performance. This must already be handled in some fashion as the above referenced Peregrin STC uses just the FreeFlight GPS receiver and the Trig transponder.

I think the TT31 is valid for a US STC with the Trig TN70 expen$ive GPS receiver.

This has no operator feedback except as given by the TT31.

A GPS-2020 to TT31 would be a nice simple ABSB out solution for certified planes.

It is the same with the Peregrin STC using the FreeFlight receiver with only the Trig front end as a user interface.

The Dynon solution will be all in one (receiver and antenna together) but, if memory serves me, will require a regulated power supply instead of just ship's power.
