Attached is the PRELIMINARY wiring diagram for the intercom. While we have no plans to change this, we reserve the right to before the product ships and is officially documented. This document assumes you are hooking the intercom to a Dynon Radio and a Dynon SkyView, but the changes are minor for other radios or EFIS systems.
The D25 connector/pins and the headphone and microphone jacks are included. No pre-built wiring harness is planned to be available.
The intercom has a D25 male on it so you will make a D25 female cable.
On the intercom, the wires going into the Dynon radio are mixed up. The pin numbers/names are correct on both sides, but the wires point at the wrong pins. We'll get that fixed ASAP. Told you it was preliminary!
Does anyone have feedback for how sensitive the music input is? Playing an Apple iPod shuffle on my current intercom I have to run the volume at maximum to get enough music volume. I am wondering if the Dynon will be an improvement.
The Dynon should be in improvement. It is designed with a high gain, differential input, which is highly resistant to noise. It was designed (and tested) with portable devices like the iPod in mind.
