I was reviewing the product list on the Dynon website today and discovered the SV-MAP-270 certificate had dropped from $500 to $200. Is this correct? If so it's a bit frustrating since I purchased mine just a little while back at the much higher price. Not the first time something like this has happened to me in this industry either. Prices tend to suddenly drop with no previous indication. Garmin did the same thing some time ago and I got tagged there as well. This adds up after a while guys. :-[

We change our pricing structure rarely, and we try to be as straightforward as possible. Here are all of the changes we made at Oshkosh 2016:

1) We introduced SkyView HDX at a higher price point than SkyView Touch/Classic.
2) We offset some of that increase by - simultaneously - including the map with ALL displays (other than SE, which do not have mapping capability at all). This means that SkyView Classic and Touch systems purchased Aug 2016 and beyond are less expensive than they used to be. Essentially, we dropped the price on those models as we introduced SkyView HDX.
3) For customers that had bought SkyView Touch or Classic previous to that time, but for some reason had not yet purchased a map - we're offering the map at a reduced price ($200).
