Getting familiar with my SkyView system (two 10" units and two axis autopilot). In the Installation Guide on page 2-10 it describes pretty much my system (except for now I have only one ADAHRS and one GPS-250).

In the diagram it shows a SV-NET-CHG coming from the splitter attached to the ADAHRS, between it and the SV-NET-6CC and splitter needed for the two servos.

I can't find any info on that item (the SV-NET-CHG) in the book or in a search on this forum. Can anyone shed light on this?

Thanks!

SV-NET-CHG is a network cable "gender changer", with mail connector on both sides. It is generally used to connect two network cables together.

In the SkyView system, all devices have male 9-pin connectors on board, while all network cables have female connectors on both ends. The SV-NET-SPL splitter cable has a mail connector on the trunk end and female connectors on both branches.

An example of use for the gender changer would be connecting a splitter to a network cable, connecting one branch of the splitter to a device, then needing to connect the other branch of the splitter to another network cable running to a device elsewhere in the network.
