This HUB looks great until I realized that I would have to buy 4 pigtails or more to accompany the hub. I would be replacing a bunch of splitters. How about a simple octopus with 4 or five pigtails off of one cable that goes to the central unit, and skip the hub?

How long would you like the legs on that octopus? It would be difficult to produce such a connection that would fit different aircraft. Some customers need to connect two screens that are 2 feet apart, and others want a run that goes all the way to a servo out in the wing of a big airplane, and everything in-between.

you make a good point sounds like I should make my own custom octopus to meet my requirements and that would eliminate the rats nest behind the panel.

Great! Or a combination of the two; a combination of custom cables plus the hub.
