Good morning.
I am performing the installation on the aircraft from a friend which of the following:

1 - SV-D1000
1 - SV-EMS-220
1 - SV-GPS-250
1 - SV-260-XPNDR
1 - SV-BAT-320
1 - SV-200-ADAHRS
2 - Servants SV42L
1 - SV-HARNESS-D37
2 - SV-NET-6CC

I made the connection to the SV-D1000 SV-GPS-250, SV-BAT-320 and SV-XPNDR-250 through the cable SV-HARNESS-D37. Also, connect the SV-EMS-220 through the cables of an SV-NET-6CC.

Until then it's fine ...

The problem is not my friend bought the SV-NET-SERVO and SV-NET-SPL so that I can connect the SV-ADAHRS-200 and the Servos and the SV-D1000 me some questions arose:

1 - The SV-ADAHRS-200 and the Servos are connected in parallel in the SV serial bus?
2 - Cable SV-NET-SPL and SV-NET-SERVO could be made [ch8203][ch8203]at home?
3 - Is the SV- NET-SPL consists of two parallel cables connected to a single DB9?
4 - Could you direct me or send your diagram?
5 - Would there be the possibility to show me or send a wire to wire diagram to the interconnection of these components?

Thanks in advance.

Q1. yes
Q2. yes - but use #20 awg for the power/ground for servos, do not use the network power/grounds.
Q3. yes
Q4 & 5. - the information is in the install manual, hopefully that is suffficient given the answers above :)

Carlos:

1. You have a total of four SkyView Network devices - SV-ADAHRS-200, SV-EMS-220, and two SV42Ls. You have two SkyView Network ports on the back of your SV-D1000. So you're going to have to do some splitting :) It is acceptable to connect SkyView Network devices in any way you choose.

2. SV-NET-SPL and SV-NET-SERVO can be made at home. Jake J is correct - use 20 AWG wire for power (Red) and ground (Black) wires on EACH servo.

3. Yes - SV-NET-SPL is a simple "V" splitter - 9 pin connectors, two wires into one pin on the point of the V (it's trickier to do this than it sounds).

4. We don't have a diagram for SV-NET-SPL because it's so simple - just a single pin with two wires coming out going to the other connectors.

5. We have a number of hookup diagrams in the SkyView System Installation Guide.

Regarding point #3 from above post... yes, it is tricky!! I'm trying to convert the middle connector on a SV-NET-SPL from a male to a female Dsub; would make a very nice install for me between the SV-COM, D1000, and EMS.  Any tips on accomplishing the "2 wires into 1 Dsub contact" task? At best, I make a rumpled mess with a few stray strands. Ugly!

A gender changer would work, but I'd have to do some drilling and improvising to make the retaining hardware work (all three elements initially are female threaded.. would have to do some drilling on the changer and dsub connector, and use some plain 'ol 4-40 machine screws to hold the whole thing together with the D1000).  Not terrible, but not the most elegant solution.
I've seen some longer gender changers which adress the hardware issue, but at roughly 2" long, this style of adapter would make the cable lengths a bit tight for me.  And again, not choice "A"..

Would really like to do it right by simply swapping out the dsub pins for sockets... Are these the normal size contacts? is the dsub connector "special" to accept two wires in one spot? help please!!
thanks

The sv-com has 2 D9 connectors on it like a D1000 does and acts like a passthrough. Are you sure you need a splitter?

There are certainly many ways around what I'm trying to do.. Yes, I could run a net cable from the D1000 to the com, and another from the com to the EMS... Just have to make both cables. This approach would be easier, but more cluttery than ideal. (The other D1000 D9 port goes to 'everything else" aft in the plane)

I happen to already have the splitter (actually two of them, one I have butchered attempting this modification before asking for help  :() and it would just be a really nice clean install with my component layout (which nobody will ever see! ha!).. and it's sort of a challenge to do!  It would also leave that second Com D9 open for whatever Dynon comes up with next which I'll of course HAVE to add!!

That's not a bad plan, but likely not necessary - notice that the last "new gadget" Dynon released (which is the Comm radio) carries two D9 ports that act as a passthru - so a spare port is not really required. The "next gadget" will almost certainly be an add-on with passthru ports.
