I'm looking to install a D700 for the GIB. In addition to the SVN and power connections, are there any other required connections?

For example, will the GPS info be transmitted on the SVN to the 'slave' EFIS, or do I need to hook these wires up as well?

All serial devices need to be connected to both displays - that information isn't shared over SkyView network. That covers it, though.

Would you not want to connect them together via ethernet to share databases?

btw, when is the ethernet switch (24v) recommendation going to be out?

You can do that, but it's not strictly required.

We still don't have a rec for a switch, unfortunately.

ChrisG:

See http://wiki.dynonavionics.com/3rd_Party_Accessories_not_supplied_by_Dynon and check the section Ethernet Switch. It's the same unit as the recommendation from dabear.

It's been a few years.  Any update on an Ethernet switch for a 3-screen setup?
