SV-XPNDR-261 and serial cable

Hallo.
I am at the point of ordering all the Dynon stuff for my RV4.
It is not clear to me if the basic transponder package which Spruce sells include the wires and pins for the connection to the display or if I need the 7' harness.

The basic transponder package includes the connector and pins, but no wire. You will need to get the wire and crimp the pins yourself if you choose that.

The harness that Aircraft Spruce can sell you will be custom-made to your requirements - length of wire to route to the transponder, number of displays, etc. That said, a typical installation is a very simple harness to construct - 4 wires, and two intra-connector jumpers.
