SV-XPNDR-261 Transponder Location

Is there a maximum distance I can install the SV-XPNDR-261 from the network? I want to place the SV-XPNDR-261 in the rear of the airplane which would need the harness to be about 20 feet long. This way the transponder can be about 1-2 feet from the antenna. Is this even a good idea?

I believe you can put the transponder in the rear. I put mine right behind the panel on another "sub"panel. about 4 feet from the antenna. Maybe the cost of the network cable might be more $.
Are you doing that because the antenna must be in the rear?

Practically speaking (in any small airplane), there's no limit there.
