RV-8
I'm about 20 hours into my Phase I testing of my newly completed RV-8 equipped with 10" SV. At the very beginning...maybe even before my first flight...I got a System 5 message. The note accompanying the error message implied that this was not something that needed to be addressed immediately. Since I wanted to continue my 'fly-off' before the weather got too cold, I ignored it. I've had one other System 5 message in the last month while flying. Yesterday in the hangar, while fiddling with the SV EMS and MAP layouts and symbols, the screen froze, and after about 30 seconds, rebooted. I then had System 5 and System 3 messages. I downloaded the diagnostic file, as directed by the on-screen prompt.
In addition to these messages, you should know that it is not unusual for me to have to re-cycle the power (Master Switch) in order to get my system to boot up. This happens about 50% of the time.
What next? Should I send you the diagnostic file? Does my SV need to be sent in to you immediately?
Thanks
