Tach issue and fuel flow

In a Jabiru, 6 cyl, with pickups from the high voltage wires, O get high and alarm in RPM when I DECREASE rpm quickly.

I also havent got to the bottom of fuel flow problem, seems to go crazy when in climb

You're tapping into just one of the alternator wires, correct?

From what we've heard, this method works pretty well for monitoring RPM on tach. I'm afraid we don't have any silver bullet recomendations on this one.
