Tachometer connection Jabiru 2200 eng. to EMS 120

I followed the recommendation and connected the EMS tachometers left wire to one of the alternator wire but then my charge light disappeared. then I connected the EMS to left and right magneto through an 30k ohm resistance. Is there any chance for those to connectors to be short circuit in the EMS and caused the engine to stop?

Part of the function of the 30K resistors is to prevent a short in the EMS from affecting the magnetos at all. If you took the wire that goes to the EMS, on the EMS side of the 30K resistor, and sent it directly to ground, you will not have grounded out the magnetos.
