Temperature Unstable Message

After installing the new firmware, July 11th release, in my D10A I get at each power up the message "temperature unstable" in red followed by the "ACK 1" key. Afer pressing and a short delay the Altimeter tape does come into view. The unit did not behave like this previously.

Is this part of normal operations with the new firmware? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jerry

The "temperature unstable" warning is normal when the temperature around the unit is on the colder side, and the unit rapidly self-heats. This rapid change in temperature can cause internal sensor measurements to be unreliable. This is normal and expected, especially as we head into the colder months.

Regarding the altimeter tape not appearing at boot, that has been a feature in our software for some time now. See page 4-3 in your printed Pilot's User Guide (top of 4-6 in the latest v4.0 guide, found here: http://dynonavionics.com/downloads/User_Manuals/EFIS-D10A%20Pilot's%20User%20Guide.pdf). Basically, there is a short period of time at boot-up when the altimeter sensor needs to stabilize.

The ambient at the time was around 80 degrees F. As long as this is normal ops that's good. Just wanted to be sure there was no issue with the unit, it does appear to read correctly once the altitude tape shows up.
Thanks.
