Hi folks,
I am new here and I couldn't find a thread regarding my problem.
I am building a Bearhawk and I am using a D10A as a backup EFIS. The manual calls for an alignment as close to the x-y-z axis of the EFIS as possible.
Now the instrument panel is tilt a couple of degrees forward . The EFIS can compensate for this but would you rather align the MAG sensor with the tilt EFIS or with the aircrafts x-y-z axis???
Has anyone thought about that?

Thanks a lot

Georg

The compass needs to be aligned with the EFIS, not the aircraft. So if your panel is a few degrees tilted, the EDC needs to be tilted the same amount. This is covered on page 3-1 of the D10A install guide if you need more details.
