I'd like to suggest that there be an additional download file that would provide flight data. For instance the file would have the;
date/time of power on, off; engine
date/time of engine start;stop
date/time of flight start/end (airspeed over "X")
and with those items above;
power on event time (ex: 2 hours)
engine event time (ex: 1.8 hours)
flight event time (ex: 1.5 hours)
The file would include all "events" until cleared and be downloaded like the user data and log files.
While I know you can get most of it from the user data and can get it from the EMS screen at the end of flights, it would be nice to be able to get past flights.
For example, I used to go to a formation clinic and flight 4-6 flights a day for Fri-Sun. When I got home, I'd look through my Garmin 496 and fill in my logbook based on the flight data from the 496.
