TIS traffic red X

Good Morning all,

I recently completed my Dynon install w/261 transponder and went flying for the first time yesterday!!! It's fantastic. Transponder works properly.

But, I have a few things to work out. First, the traffic has a red x on the symbol in the lwr rt of the screen. I am not getting any traffic info. I believe TIS service is available at or near PBI, Florida. I did fly all over S. FL yesterday and never had any traffic information.

The red x did convert to OK once, however, the traffic info still was inop.

Thoughts?

In addition, is there a list or a map of where TIS service is available?

If your red X converted to OK once, then your traffic is working. The TIS system only sends you high priority threats in most cases (aircraft that could run into you) so don't expect to see that airliner at 36K feet when you are at 4K feet.
