The VPX manual says that some EFIS systems can display total system current from the VPX on the 'AMPS' gauge in the EFIS. Can this be done with the Dynon, and, if so, how?

There are three option for placing the AMPS shunt with the VP-X installed shown on page 7-52 of the latest Skyview Install guide.

Position A only shows flows from and to the battery (Cessna style)
Position B shows the output from the alternator to both battery and the aircraft
Position C show only aircraft load

If you have all your aircraft loads through VP-X then position B or C will display what is going through VP-X. In position C it's shown directly while position B is shown with the VP-X display. I have my shunt in position B. The VP-X display shows 0.8 AMPS going to the battery and 16.5 AMPS going through VP-X for a total of 17.3 which is shown on my AMPS gauge on the engine page.

Without a shunt you will get only the current through the VP-X (the one under the VP-X logo), but we can show that no problem.

The implication I got from the note in the VPX manual was that some systems would allow total current display in the EFIS instrument pack. Does Dynon not allow this?
