Touching an Airport on Touchscreen

When displaying a Seattle Avionics sectional map on my HDX screen, I find it very difficult to touch the exact spot needed to bring up an airport's identifier text box instead of the airspace info during flight (illustrated in figures 143 & 144, ch. 5-40 of the Pilots User Guide). It seems your finger needs to be directly over the center of an airport for its dialog box to open - a difficult proposition to accomplish while flying. Is there any way to widen the touch screen's Map Pointer diameter to recognize an airport touch so one's finger doesn't need to be so precise? I have gone through several screen touch calibrations and my accuracy issue doesn't improve.

There isn't a way to adjust the touch area. But, if the airport is collocated on an airspace, it may be hitting the airspace instead. In that case, try touching the arrows to flip through the things under your finger. That may not be it, admittedly.

You can also pinch-to-zoom on the desired area to be a little more accurate.
