I had complained before about not being able to see the +/- clearly on the traffic differential altitude because my panel is just far enough away to make it hard to see that font size. I suggested being able to make the font size larger. Someone just post a somewhat similar concern in General Discussion, but suggested differentiation a + icon from a - icon using colored fonts or background ( or something that visually differentiates) that can be assessed at a glance. I think this should be considered if not too difficult. I have had a couple of tense moments trying to determine if close traffic is above or below me because of the font size.
