Transponder ground ?

Installing skyview and dynon transponder and I have a seperate avionincs ground block for avionics that I will use to ground skyview should I use this same ground block for transponder or should I used the firewall gnd block? Or does it matter? I will still gound the mounting tray also.

Adding to the transponder ground question, I have mounted the transponder behind the baggage bulkhead in my RV9 and am using local ground at that location rather than running a ground wire up to the firewall ground bus.  Will I have a problem with this arrangement.  The mounting plate is also grounded.

Should be fine. Assuming lots of metal (the airframe) is connecting those points, all grounds are electrically equivalent.
